Café da Olaria, now under new management, has reopened its doors beside the iconic Porches Pottery, welcoming guests Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm and Saturdays from 10am to 3pm.
Following a thoughtful renovation, the terrace, bathrooms, and bar have been refreshed, complemented by new lighting and windows that brighten the space whilst retaining its charm – including the original 1978 wall tiles.

The new menu is fresh, modern, and friendly, with something for everyone. Think wholesome, flavour-packed dishes made in-house with fresh ingredients and plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, gluten-friendly and lactose-free choices.
It’s the kind of healthy-but-satisfying dishes you’ll actually look forward to eating. The soup and salad combo is already a favourite, and the homemade cakes are impossible to resist.

Coffee is brewed from beans roasted by a small artisan producer in Lisbon, and Delia Smith’s homemade lemonade is also readily available as a refreshing treat.
There’s also a carefully chosen wine list, featuring bottles from family friends at Terra d’Alter.
