Led by pianist and composer Svetlana Bakushina, the Svetlana Bakushina Fusion Project will conclude its acclaimed Algarve tour with a final performance on September 27, at 9.30 pm, at the Lagos Cultural Centre’s Duval Pestana Auditorium.

Following a series of sold-out concerts throughout the region, the show will mark the culmination of its successful tour.

The renowned artist is known for her original compositions that blend jazz improvisation, classical precision, progressive rock intensity, and a wide range of folk traditions.

“This finale celebrates the connections and friendships we’ve made through music,” said Bakushina. “We’re honoured to close this chapter in Lagos with a performance that reflects the Algarve’s rich cultural spirit – a region that truly embodies the diversity at the heart of our work.”

Bringing together live music, immersive visuals, and dynamic choreography, the show blends carefully crafted compositions with spontaneous improvisation, offering both thought-provoking depth and intense energy for the audience.

The ensemble brings together musicians from Portugal, Mexico, Chile, Siberia, Lithuania, and Germany, with the main lineup featuring Svetlana Bakushina (piano), Seibas Gamboa (cello), Daniel Marques (saxophone), Jorge Carrilho (drums), and Katherine Valenzuela (vocals).

For this final concert, the group will be joined by special guests Marc Mennigmann (modular synthesizer), Carlos Rufo Martins (electric bass), visual artist Anastasia Maystrenko, and ballet dancer Ingrida Švedunova Yordanova.

The concert will start at 9.30pm, with doors opening at 9pm. Tickets cost €8 and can be purchased via BOL’s website.
