Lagoa welcomes exhibition by the internationally experienced local artist
– December 3, 2025

Lagoa is hosting a new exhibition by local artist Anke Punt Bach, entitled “Evolution”, featuring 23 delicate watercolour-on-wood paintings in the library atrium from December 5 to January 23, 2026.
“’Evolution’ shows my journey to discover new techniques and ways to express,” says Anke. Her watercolour paintings on wood have what she calls a “soft touch” and a semi-abstract style that gently draws the viewer into a different world.

Anke Punt Bach is a dedicated artist and art teacher with extensive international experience. She began her formal training at the Art Academy in London, where she developed her skills. Today, she continues to practice her art every day. “Not a day went by without a brush, pen, paper or reading about the world of art,” she says.
After London, she continued her journey through teaching, organising exhibitions, and participating in them. In 2019, she and her family made the Algarve their home. Since then, she has shown her work in Carvoeiro, Lagoa, Armação de Pêra and Portimão.

“I love to teach and inspire other people,” she adds. At Papelaria Arco Íris, in the Sudoeste Retail Park in Alcantarilha, she teaches twice a week, sharing her passion and techniques with others.
“Evolution” exhibition will be inaugurated on December 5 (Friday), at 5pm.
