– May 11, 2023
Starting this May, Vila Vita Spa, in Porches, will welcome renowned international and national guests such as Achyuta Veda, Marta Gomes, and Shri Parveen Nair, to help participants improve their overall health by optimising their mind and body.
Renowned therapist Achyuta Veda will offer Ayurvedic therapy consultations, Ayurvedic massage, Marma Therapy, Pranic Healing, and Abhyanga from May 15th to June 30th, aimed at rejuvenating the body and soothing the mind. Ayurvedic Therapy is an ancient Indian medicinal technique that treats individuals based on their unique needs, with a focus on balancing the body, mind, and spirit.
Starting from May 15th to June 30th, a Chakra Healing Workshop will be held every week. Chakra healing is an ancient technique that dates back over 5,000 years and is an integral part of the Vedánta philosophy and Ayurveda. The workshops led by therapist Achyuta Veda will offer participants a structured programme with ancestral teachings aimed at unblocking stagnated energy in energy centres known as chakras, leading to their healing and alignment.
From May 30th to June 1st, Praveen Nair will host Private Yoga Classes. The yoga classes are based on the “Iyengar Yoga” methodology, a progressive approach to developing body awareness. The classes also focus on revitalising the overall health of the hips and shoulders.
Then from June 2nd to 4th, world-renowned yoga teacher Shri Parveen Nair and Ayurvedic expert Achyuta Veda will host Yoga & Ayurveda Workshops, featuring holistic therapies, breath and healing classes, yoga practices and satsang conferences. This two-and-a-half-day “Yoga Movement” workshop aims to equip visitors with tools to redefine their priorities and routines for better health and wellness through a more balanced mind-body connection.
Later, between July 3rd and August 30th, therapist Marta Gomes will host the Women’s Health Workshop with a programme covering health and fitness topics, including breathing techniques, nutrition, lifestyle tips and pelvic awakening movements. The idea is to pass on simple tools to each participant that can be applied daily for a greater connection between the inner self and the body.
A specialist in traditional Chinese medicine and motor control through the Pilates Method, Marta Gomes will also offer Advanced Physiotherapy treatments, which combines manual massage, breathing, visceral manipulation, body postural corrections and motor control techniques that promote the body’s lightness and general well-being.
Overall, the Women’s Health Journey, taking place between July 3rd and August 30th aims is to refresh each woman’s relationship with her own body and herself.
