The Algarve’s coastline will once again provide the stage for the Swim Party 10km Algarve, taking place on Saturday, September 6.
The open-water challenge, stretching from Carvalho Beach to Ferragudo’s Praia dos Caneiros, was launched last year with 70 swimmers of several nationalities taking part.

The event is a celebration of both athleticism and community, bringing together swimmers, supporters, and locals for a morning of competition, camaraderie and coastal beauty.
The route – a 10km swim – can be completed either individually or in relay teams of three, with times logged and published online at Multicrono.pt. Safety and organisation are at the heart of the event, with marine police patrols, medical support and a dedicated team ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Behind the event is Mariana Santos, a native of Carvoeiro and a former athlete of Portinado, the Portimão Swimming Association, and founder of the Cultural and Sports Association ANIMAME Algarve, supported by her team and a host of partners, including Lagoa City Council and the Algarve Tourism Region.
With its post-race celebrations on Praia dos Caneiros, the Swim Party Algarve is becoming a highlight of the region’s sporting calendar.
