This year’s headliner is Nicki Minaj, following on the footsteps of Chris Brown in 2022, and 50 Cent in 2023. The Trinidadian singer based in the United States is known by many as the queen of rap.

French rapper Ninho and British rapper J Hus will also take the stage and delight the fans, as well as Nigerians Rema and Asake, who have previously seen crowds dancing to their music and applauding their performances in Portimão.

Also in the spotlight is the popular Congolese singer-songwriter Fally Ipupa who “is set to bring his irresistible Francophone sounds and undeniable charm to the stacked main-stage bill”, shared the organisation.

Shallipopi, Nigeria’s hottest new star and the voice behind the tracks ‘Elon Musk’ and ‘Cast’ ft. Odumodublvck will also make this an unforgettable edition.

Also performing on the main stage will be Omah Lay, Flavour, Tyla, and The Composers, while the Piano People Stage will feature performances by Tman Xpress, Brooke Bailey, Mellow & Sleazy, Focalistic, Vigro Deep and Sfarzo Rtee, among many others.

With the success of previous years, the event is expected to bring a welcome boost to the local economy, with organisers hoping to repeat last year’s success with over 40,000 attendees.

“Standing as the only festival of its kind, reliably delivering an unforgettable cultural celebration of dance, fashion, food, and music on the Algarve’s Blue Flag beaches, this experience is consistently touted as not to be missed as thousands flock back year on year,” stated the organisation.

In both 2019 and 2022, the editions were highly acclaimed and recognised around the globe and in 2023 the festival saw its first sell-out year, with over 40,000 attendees traveling from 140 countries. Covid-19-related restrictions prevented the event from taking place in 2020 and 2021.

Last tickets can still be purchased – Golden, VIP and General Admission Tickets – available via Afro Nation‘s website.
