JADE studio hosts an evening of art, new pieces, drinks and aperitifs
Local artist Vilma Vicente will showcase her latest work at JADE – Jewelry Art Decor Boutique in Praia da Luz this November, bringing together ocean-inspired paintings and the launch of her new signature jewellery collection.
The opening event will take place on Friday, November 6, from 6pm to 8pm, offering visitors the chance to discover her latest paintings and new jewellery pieces, available exclusively at JADE.
Born in Lisbon, Vilma studied at Lisbon’s Faculty of Fine Arts before later moving to the Algarve, where the Atlantic coast became a central influence on her work. Her connection to the sea, together with her passion for surfing and freediving, continues to shape the movement, colours and textures found throughout her pieces.
“I try to transform those sensations, memories and movements into vibrant and emotional pieces,” she says.
Working with mixed media and fluid art techniques, Vilma explores different materials, colours and textures to create pieces that reflect the movement, freedom and depth of the marine world.
JADE – Jewelry Art Decor Boutique is located in Praia da Luz and is open Monday to Friday from 10am to 1pm and 2.30pm to 10pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 1.30pm and 2.30pm to 6pm.
