The free exhibition at Centro Cultural de Lagos explores online culture, identity and the emotional impact of an always-connected world
The Core Cuore collective exhibition, presented by Festival Verão Azul/casaBranca in partnership with Lagos City Council and Centro Cultural de Lagos, is on display at Centro Cultural de Lagos until September 26, bringing together contemporary art, digital culture, sound and moving image.

Developed as an extension of the 12th edition of Festival Verão Azul, held in 2025, the exhibition explores how technology, social media and constant exposure to online content shape the way people see themselves and the world around them.
At the centre of the project is the digital aesthetic known as corecore, characterised by the fragmentation and collision of images, sounds and narratives.
Corecore invokes feelings linked to life online, including nostalgia, isolation, information overload and introspection, bringing this idea into the gallery through the work of artists from different countries and creative backgrounds.
Andy Thomas creates immersive pieces where sound and image come together, transforming sounds from nature into visual forms that move between the organic and technological.
Jordan Stone explores contemporary cinematic language through digital culture and advertising aesthetics, whilst Molly Soda examines online identity, intimacy and the way people present themselves on social media.
John Rising uses audiovisual collage, irony and fragmentation to reflect the pace and chaos of contemporary digital culture. Noper, meanwhile, creates more dreamlike and unsettling environments shaped by memory, repetition and nostalgia.
Together, the works invite visitors to reflect on the contradictions of modern digital life and the emotional effects of an increasingly connected world.
Core Cuore is open from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 6pm, at Centro Cultural de Lagos. Admission is free.
