Lagos Marina to welcome two luxury hotels by the Hilton Group

The cornerstone for the Lagos Marina Hotel, a tourist development near the Lagos Marina, was laid last October.

The development will include two hotels: the five-star Lagos Marina Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton, offering 189 rooms, and the four-star Hilton Garden Inn Lagos, with 90 rooms. The €107.8 million development is expected to create 188 direct jobs when it opens in 2026.

The five-star Lagos Marina Hotel’s rooms will spread across a total area of 14,776sqm and four floors, featuring an infinity pool on the terrace, as well as a restaurant and two bars. A second pool will be located on the ground floor at the spa.

The four-star Hilton Garden Inn Lagos, with a total gross area of 7,505 square meters, will offer 90 rooms, 27 of which suites with kitchenettes, as well as a bar, a restaurant, and a 24-hour self-service shop, as well as a gym and an outdoor pool.

Both hotels will provide meeting rooms as well as more than 160 parking spaces.

The group emphasised that the hotels are designed to take full advantage of the Algarve’s exceptional sunlight, blending seamlessly into the surrounding environment, with features such as lush gardens and incomparable views.

In addition to this project, the Hilton group is also working on four additional hotel projects in the Algarve: the Alvor Beach Hotel, a five-star resort in the Torralta area of Alvor; the Hotel Indigo Faro Ribeirinha in Faro, the region’s capital; the Marriot Lagos, to be constructed near the Porto de Mós beach; and the Hard Rock Hotel Algarve, a new luxury hotel near Portimão’s Vau beach, featuring 275 rooms and suites, along with 150 apartments.

Since 2015, the Canadian group has invested in Portugal over €1.2 billion, distributed across 32 tourism and hotel projects throughout the country.
