The 10th Algarve International Piano Festival brings world and regional premieres to the stage at TEMPO Portimão

The Algarve Symphony Orchestra will take the stage at the Grand Auditorium of TEMPO Portimão on January 17 for a concert featuring two premieres. The programme includes the world premiere of Armando Mota’s concerto for bandoneón and string orchestra, performed by Gonçalo Pescada, as well as the regional premiere of B. Martinů’s concerto for two string orchestras, piano and timpani, with Thiago Tortaro.

The concert will be conducted by José Eduardo Gomes and will bring together the strings of the Algarve Symphony Orchestra with the two guest soloists.

Starting at 7pm, the evening promises to be one of the highlights of the festival.

Tickets cost €20 for regular seats and €15 for the balcony. Tickets are available via the bol.pt website or at TEMPO Portimão, from Tuesday to Saturday between 1pm and 6pm, and on performance nights until the start of the show.

The concert is part of the 10th Algarve International Piano Festival, under the artistic direction of maestro Armando Mota and produced by Associação Arte do Sul.
