The countdown has begun

With summer just around the corner, the countdown has begun for one of southern Portugal’s most popular summer events: the Carvoeiro Black & White Night.

Founded in 2014, the open-air party celebrates the summer solstice and attracts thousands of visitors each year to the picturesque village of Carvoeiro.

The event was inspired by the Celtic festival of Litha and has grown into one of the largest open-air parties in Portugal, drawing an average of 30,000 revellers.

Multiple stages and themed areas will offer a diverse mix of performances throughout Carvoeiro’s streets and beachside square. From 8.30pm to 3am, there will be magic acts, silent films, live jazz, and beachside dance floors.

As part of the Black & White theme, all guests are asked to wear only black and white, creating a unique atmosphere throughout the night’s performances and decorations.

A celebration of culture, music, and summer energy, the event promises to make Carvoeiro a “vibrant stage for unforgettable experiences”, according to the organisers.

Free shuttle buses will run continuously from 6pm to 4am between Carvoeiro and key parking areas such as Fatacil, Intermarché, Apolónia, Aldi, and Gramital.
