Artists from different nationalities come together for a collective celebration of urban art
– October 15, 2025

There’s still time to explore this year’s final exhibition of ARTURb – Artists United in Residence, running until October 31, at LAC – Laboratory of Creative Activities in Lagos, a must-see for contemporary art lovers.
The exhibition showcases original works created during this year’s residency by Antonyo Marest (Spain), Eric Ve (Germany), James Klinge (Scotland), Kiã (Portugal), and Moami (Portugal), co-curated by Diogo Machado (Add Fuel) and Sofia Fortunato (Fitijane).
The artworks combine distinct perspectives and techniques within contemporary urban art, transforming the LAC building into a vibrant space for experimentation.
As part of this year’s programme, flags designed by each of the invited artists have been raised at Lagos Marina, where they will remain until the end of October – a symbolic reminder of ARTURb’s artistic presence across the city.
The exhibition also marks the culmination of a community mural led by Portuguese artist Patrícia Mariano, developed in collaboration with residents of Rua das Operárias Conserveiras, in Chinicato.
