Applications are open for local artisans and producers to showcase their work at the festive market
Ferragudo will host the 19th edition of its annual Artenata Christmas market from November 27 to 29, bringing festive celebrations back to the village.
Traditionally held during the final weekend of November, the event has become a regular part of Ferragudo’s Christmas calendar.
The event’s name also reflects its concept, using the Portuguese word nata – meaning ‘the cream’ or ‘best of something’ – to showcase local artists, artisans, creators and producers ahead of Christmas.
The market will bring together handmade products, art, design and décor items, regional produce and Christmas-themed activities reflecting the richness of local culture, alongside live entertainment, workshops and activities for all ages in a festive setting.
Further details about this year’s programme and entertainment will be announced closer to the event.
Organisers are currently inviting artisans, producers and other interested participants to join the market. Applications are open until November 13, with regulations and the registration form available through the QR codes on the event poster, published on Ferragudo Parish Council’s website and social media pages.
