Carvoeiro gets ready to kick off summer with one of the biggest parties of the year

The awaited summer celebration, Carvoeiro Black & White Night, is just around the corner. This Satruday, June 21, the town of Carvoeiro will don black and white and celebrate the start of summer for its 11th year.

Since 2014, the event has grown significantly, bringing thousands of revellers to the western Algarve every year – with 30,000 people attending last year alone.

The theme is in the name, and visitors are strongly encouraged to dress in only those colours.

There will be something happening in almost every corner of the picturesque village on the night, with plenty of entertainment for everyone. Expect street performances, live music, magic acts, silent movie screenings, a kids’ corner, fire shows, and music to suit all tastes – from disco and folk to Celtic, 80s hits, tango and more – running from 8.30pm until 3am.

The beach will also turn into an open-air disco from midnight onwards.

As for parking, and to help avoid issues, free shuttle buses will run between Carvoeiro and key parking areas including Fatacil, Intermarché, Apolónia, Aldi, and Gramital. The service will operate continuously from 6pm on Saturday to 4am on Sunday.
