Fado, regional wines and local flavours take over Lagoa’s town centre this June
The Lagoa Wine Show is back from June 5 to 9, bringing five evenings of wine, gastronomy and live music to the town centre.
Taking place across several central locations, including Rua Coronel Figueiredo, Praça da República, Largo Alves Roçadas and the area near Casa Dr. Albergaria, the annual celebration brings together regional and national wine producers with live entertainment, food and cultural programming in the heart of Lagoa.
This year’s line-up includes performances by Portuguese artists Aurea on June 5, Ana Bacalhau on June 6, Raquel Tavares on June 7, Descendentes on June 8 and Tito Paris on June 9.
Alongside the concerts, visitors can enjoy wine tastings from producers from the Algarve and other Portuguese regions, as well as culinary demonstrations showcasing regional ingredients and local flavours.
Several Fado performances will also be spread throughtout the event spaces.
“More than an event, it is a celebration of Lagoa’s identity, flavours and traditions – a true invitation to enjoy the best that the Algarve has to offer,” the local council says.
Lagoa has embraced a leading role in the Algarve’s growth as a wine region, hosting several wine-related events and initiatives, such as the Algarve Wine Tourism Fair, whilst continuing to support local producers, including plans for a new home for the Única winemaking cooperative.
