The in-house Ready-to-Eat area goes beyond a quick takeaway, blending tradition and innovation to offer fresh, varied meals ready to enjoy
Growing responsibly
The recent refurbishment of Lagos Intermarché has reinforced the store’s commitment to sustainability.
To support this growth, nine new structural pillars were installed, making it possible to expand the solar panel system on the roof. The intervention follows the growth of the store’s in-house production and the installation of additional refrigerated units, required to broaden the product range and respond to rising demand.
By strengthening its solar infrastructure, Lagos Intermarché increases its energy autonomy while significantly reducing its environmental footprint.
The investment reflects a long-term approach: expanding the store while improving energy efficiency and creating a more comfortable environment for those who visit it daily.
Ready to eat
The refurbishment has also brought changes to the Ready-to-Eat section, reinforcing the focus on in-house preparation and a wider range of flavours.
Among the dishes prepared daily by the team are comforting classics such as stewed veal, creamy pistachio pasta and traditional peas with eggs.
The menu also features international inspirations, like aromatic chicken korma, alongside more adventurous combinations such as pork neck with pineapple and dates.
For those seeking something lighter, the chicken and nuts bowl offers a balanced and nutritious alternative.
With these additions, the Ready-to-Eat area becomes more than just a quick takeaway option, blending tradition and innovation to deliver fresh, varied meals ready to enjoy.
Famílias Numerosas is now Família+
Intermarché’s ‘Famílias Numerosas’ (Large Families) programme has evolved into the new ‘Família+’, a more inclusive initiative designed to reflect the diversity of modern households. Linked to the store’s Poupança loyalty card, the programme is available to customers aged between 25 and 45, whether or not they have children.
The premise is simple: on the first day of each month, customers benefit from a store-wide 15% discount, credited to the Poupança card on purchases of €50 or more and redeemable on future shopping. The initiative is intended to help customers start the month with additional savings and greater budget flexibility. Família+ joins the existing Bebé+ programme, offering 15% off on the 25th of each month, and Geração+, which provides a 10% discount on the 10th, reinforcing Intermarché’s broader strategy of supporting different generations.
