The exhibition will bring the magic of Christmas spirit to town

Local German artist and teacher at Escola de Artes in Lagoa, Anke Punt Bach, will inaugurate her new artworks on Monday, December 2, at 4.30pm at Lagoa’s library. The exhibition will also feature works by four of her students – Gonçalo, Maria, Lucas, and Martim (aged 8 and 9).

The exhibition will feature 29 angel paintings, which “were born after half a year of research to bring the magic of Christmas to Lagoa”, in a style that combines illustration art with round shapes and decorative finishes.

“I hope to inspire and show something I enjoyed creating to the people of the Algarve,” the artist shares.

About Anke

With a background rich in international experience, Anke Punt Bach is a dedicated artist and art teacher. During her formal training at the Art Academy in London, she developed her skills and practices her art every day. Anke has been a member of prestigious art organizations throughout her career, including the United Society of Artists, the Hesketh Hubbard Art Society, and the Federation of British Artists. She has exhibited her work worldwide, from Syria to Russia, to Australia, London, The Hague, and Portugal.

As well as exhibiting her work, Anke is dedicated to sharing her knowledge and experience with the Algarve’s young artists.

Entrance to the exhibition is free, and can be visited between Mondays and Fridays, 10am and 6pm, taking place until January 31 2025.
