The yearly summer market returns for its 10th edition

Lota Cool Market, “the coolest market in the South”, will return once more to the riverside area of Portimão between July 16-20.

Preparations are underway for the 10th edition, with the market continuing its emphasis on environmental preservation, sustainability, and valuing national talent.

In line with this, the organisation is looking for creative and innovative participants, preferably artisans and creatives who effectively use natural products or repurpose materials in their creations. Areas for food and drinks, food trucks that offer sustainable, anti-waste cuisine with eco-friendly packaging will be chosen.

Those who wish to participate can register here until May 31.

The market is of Portimão’s most anticipated summer events, offering lots of different entertainment options for the whole family, as well as promoting small national and local handicraft and design businesses looking for new audiences.

Taking place between July 16 (Wednesday) and July 20 (Sunday), the market will be open from 6pm to 2am, with a great area for food and drinks with food trucks for all tastes, exhibition space for artists and designers, and a big stage for performances by Algarve talents in the square, in front of the Portimão tourist office. There will also be an area exclusively dedicated to children’s entertainment in the Visconde Bivar Garden.
