This summer marks a meaningful milestone for Gelados & Companhia: 20 years since opening their doors on July 26, 2005.
What began as a small, family-run ice cream parlour has grown into a beloved fixture in the Algarve, known for its honest ingredients, bold flavours, and warm, family environment.

From their strawberry sorbet made with fruit from a local farm in Silves to the now-iconic “Trio Algarvio” – a distinctly regional blend of Almond, Fig, and Carob – their creations have always reflected a deep connection to the local area and its traditions.
Even the popular “Arroz Doce” (Rice Pudding) ice cream is rooted in a family recipe, transformed into something both nostalgic and quite unexpected.

As they celebrate two decades in business, the Conduto family remains grounded in the values that built their brand: authenticity, consistency, and a relentless care for quality.
“The Conduto family is tremendously proud of this journey and growth, and remains committed to ensuring the quality and freshness of their ice cream,” says founder Carlos Conduto.
In a world that often moves too fast, Gelados & Companhia has reminded us, scoop by scoop, that some of the sweetest things come from staying true to who you are. Here’s to 20 years; and many more to come.
