Introducing English Tea Shop Portugal’s colourful natural blends, brought together by a shared dedication to organic quality and wellbeing

In Portugal, both coffee and tea are part of everyday life, at work or during moments of relaxation.

Tea consumption in particular has grown into a global trend, thanks to its many properties and benefits – from helping combat cellular ageing and strengthening the immune system to providing hydration, aiding digestion and offering antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, depending on the source plants. With such a list of advantages, it has become an essential product at Baptista Supermarket.

Sharing similar values, English Tea Shop Portugal is also a family-run company committed to sustainability.

The brand offers a variety of natural aromas and organic blends, each designed for a different moment.

Tea has become closely associated with comfort, pleasure and a connection to nature, evoking the harvest landscapes of mountains and plains – its origins,” says manager Beatriz Batista.

In line with the brand’s organic philosophy, which aims to highlight the benefits of tea by presenting some of the world’s best-known varieties, Baptista Supermarket also values the importance of nurturing daily moments of tranquillity.

Aligned not only in their awareness of the benefits of tea but also in the social responsibility behind its production, Beatriz adds: “We’re proud to offer products like these – products that go beyond what’s inside the box and stand for real principles.”

Designed to appeal to the senses, the collaboration between the two brands is built on rigour and professionalism, with customer wellbeing and environmental responsibility at its core.

Focused on a better future, English Tea Shop “subscribes to strong environmental values. From production through to sale, it follows a path based on fair-trade economic models, such as microenterprises, cooperatives and local commerce”, Beatriz notes.

The extensive selection at Baptista Supermarket covers everything from classic teas – White, Black and Green – to more daring choices such as Matcha, Oolong, Mate, herbal tisanes and even Chocolate tea. Flavours range from intense, spicy, citrus or bitter to light, fruity, fresh or sweet.

Shoppers can also consider the desired effects when choosing their tea. There are blends and infusions designed for relaxation, purification, weight management, stimulation, anti-stress purposes or antioxidant benefits.

The immune and digestive systems can also benefit from the vast properties of teas, whether caffeinated or naturally caffeine-free. For lovers of classic flavours, there is Perfect Peppermint, made with organic spearmint and peppermint; Pure Green Tea, an organic Ceylon green tea; and Chamomile, a gentle organic chamomile tisane.

More adventurous options include White Tea Lychee Cocoa, an organic white tea with cinnamon, cocoa, coconut and lychee; White Tea, Coconut & Passion Fruit, a premium Chinese organic white tea with naturally sweet, tropical notes; and White Tea, Blueberry & Elderflower, with the floral delicacy of elderflower and the richness of blueberry.

And for those who enjoy exploring, Baptista Supermarket also offers curated packs featuring different selections, whether herbal tisanes or White, Black or Green teas.
