Focused on local gastronomy and sharing food, the initiative aims to promote Lagos restaurants during the spring months
A new gastronomic event is set to debut in Lagos this May, inviting local restaurants to take part in a month-long celebration of food and conviviality.
TRAVESSAS de Lagos is inspired by the Portuguese tradition of sharing meals and will offer a gastronomic route across various participating venues. Residents and visitors will be encouraged to explore different travessas de petiscos (snack platters), specially created for the event and designed to be shared.
Restaurants joining the event are challenged to create an exclusive platter for four people, inspired by local culinary identity, highlighting regional produce, traditional recipes or contemporary interpretations of Algarve cuisine. Each platter will be part of a fixed-price menu of €20, including four drinks.
Participants will need to purchase a Sharing Pass in advance, priced at €2.50, which will provide access to the network of participating restaurants.
The concept draws inspiration from other established formats, with organisers aiming for a model that is simple, balanced and sustainable for restaurants. The focus is on shared portions, efficient production costs and a smoother service experience throughout the event.
For participating businesses, TRAVESSAS de Lagos presents an opportunity to increase visibility, attract new customers and help boost the restaurant sector during spring. The initiative also reinforces Lagos as a destination for gastronomy, sharing and Algarve cultural identity.
Places are limited. Restaurants interested in taking part can request more information and register by contacting the organisers via email at [email protected] or through WhatsApp on +351 912 417 907.
