Lagos welcomes six different shows this weekend

Lagos will once again be the stage for the Night Dog Shows, taking place between May 30 and 31, between 5pm and midnight, at the Municipal Stadium.

Organised by the Portuguese Kennel Club (Clube Português de Canicultura) and Lagos City Council, in collaboration with Lagos Zoo, this edition will include: the 5th Algarve Dog Show, the 34th Algarve International Dog Show, the Specialised Dachshund Dog Show, the Monographic Dog Show of the Barrocal Algarvio, the Monographic Dog Show of the Portuguese Water Dog and the 2nd Lure Coursing Demonstration, which involves showing dogs running after an object over long distances.

There will be a food truck area as well as entertainment, promoting socialising in addition to the cynophile activities.

Around 800 participants attended the Algarve Night Dog Shows last year from all over the world. Last year, 14 countries participated in the two-day initiative, including Spain, Latvia, France, the United Kingdom, Russia, Finland, Italy, Belgium, Canada, Sweden, Gibraltar, Switzerland, Morocco and Germany. Organisers anticipate that this year’s event will be just as successful.
