More than 70 exhibitors, gardening advice and free talks feature under this year’s theme, Creating Landscapes that Care!
Autumn Mediterranean Garden Fair returns to Lagoa’s FATACIL Showground on October 17 and 18, marking the start of the Algarve’s autumn planting season.
Organised by the Mediterranean Gardening Association Portugal (MGAP), the annual event will bring together more than 70 exhibitors, including over 20 specialist plant growers, alongside free talks, demonstrations and practical gardening advice.
This year’s theme is “Creating landscapes that care!” Visitors will find native species, ornamental and aromatic plants, fruit trees, succulents, bulbs, heritage vegetable seeds and drought-tolerant varieties, with growers offering advice on plants best suited to the Algarve’s Mediterranean climate.
The fair will also feature botanical art, ceramics, garden ornaments and other garden-inspired crafts, as well as a selection of food and refreshments.
Visitors can pre-order plants from participating nurseries and collect them at the event, whilst the Plant Crèche will allow purchases to be stored until collection by car.
The fair takes place in the Municipal Park at FATACIL from 10am to 5pm on both days.
Entry costs €1.
