Portimão will host the European series’ first round

From March 28-30, the Algarve International Racetrack (AIA), in Portimão, will host the first round of the Superbike World Championship European series.

Nine races will be held for the first European stage of the year, as well as other entertainment for the entire weekend, which is expected to attract a significant number of fans of the sport.

In addition to the races, the Paddock Show will once again feature the drivers daily as well as a DJ in the food area near the AIA pool.

With “Hot Lap” events over the weekend, thrill seekers will have the chance to experience the circuit’s demands at high speeds, and the “tourist train” will allow for a more relaxed experience through the circuit’s 15 turns as well.

There will be two open pit lane sessions during the second stage of the World Superbike Championship on Saturday and Sunday, March 29 and 30. During the bike parade at the end of the day, motorcyclists will be able to ride around the circuit in a safe and controlled environment.

Tickets for the event are available online, starting at €25.
