An ode to the Algarve, its produce, authenticity and way of life
Named Preceito, the venue is led by Alexandre Cabrita, who was named Chef of the Year 2025 in Portugal.

The restaurant replaces the former AL SUD, which previously held a Michelin star, and introduces a new direction centred on local ingredients and a more relaxed dining experience.
The concept is built around the surrounding landscape, with the sea, the Ria de Alvor and the Algarve hills shaping the menu.
Says the resort, the restaurant’s culinary offer aims to be an “ode to the Algarve, its products, its authenticity and its way of living”.
The menu includes options such as grilled squid with goat butter and citrus xerém (a typical corn-based porridge), sea bass with oven rice and fresh prawns caught along the Algarve coast, and beef tartare with smoked eel and cured egg yolk.
Desserts are created by Andreia Carreira, using iconic Algarve ingredients like carob, almond and fig leaf.
The restaurant is designed to be more informal than its predecessor, aiming to create a space suited not only to special occasions but also for repeat visits.
