After a long stretch of gloomy, rainy days this winter and early spring, the arrival of sunny weather felt like a much-needed breath of fresh air.

It was the perfect opportunity to embrace the outdoors, and what better place to head than the charming town of Lagos for an afternoon of pure fun. Although known for its rich history, picturesque beaches and vibrant nightlife, on this occasion, our focus was not on the typical tourist attractions, but on a little friendly competition at a mini-golf course, after a trip to a funky well renowned place for lunch.

Our first stop was Nah Nah Bah, recognised as one of the best burger spots in the world, it has earned its place on the list of the ‘Top 50 Burger Joints’ worldwide, and it’s no surprise.

The vibe is laid-back and welcoming, with super friendly staff. Whilst they offer a range of indulgent burgers that could satisfy even the most hardcore food lover, there’s also something for those with a lighter appetite – such as fresh salads and smaller snacks.

But on this day, we were in the mood for a bit of indulgence, so we opted for the house specialty burgers paired with an artisanal beer. The combination of juicy beef burgers, fresh toppings, and soft buns made for a burger experience that definitely lived up to the hype.

The restaurant’s unique atmosphere, with its cool décor and upbeat energy, made it a truly great experience for those looking for something a little different.

After finishing up, we were ready to continue our adventure just across the street from where we parked: the Algarve Pro Putting Garden.

This professional-grade mini-golf course is an excellent stop for anyone, whether you’re an expert golfer or just looking for a bit of fun. Situated next to the historic city wall of Lagos, the Pro Putting Garden is located in a little park on the edge of the old town, only a few minutes’ walk from the town centre. It’s easy to see why it has become a favourite for both locals and tourists.

The 18-hole mini-golf course was designed with both fun and challenge in mind, making it perfect for families, friends, or anyone seeking a little competition. We weren’t professional golfers by any stretch, but that didn’t stop us from having a blast.

The layout of the course is visually attractive, with each hole offering a unique challenge while being accessible for all ages. It was a perfect way to work off some of the calories from our burger feast while having a great time together.

After a few rounds of mini-golf, we were left with a sense of satisfaction from the overall experience of exploring this lovely part of Lagos. The Pro Putting Garden, with its scenic location and well-maintained course, is a great option for a day out with the family or a light-hearted challenge with friends. And the best part? It’s located just a stone’s throw from the town’s heart, making it easily accessible and a great way to explore the town in a more relaxed way.

As the day came to an end, we couldn’t help but feel grateful for the sunshine and the opportunity to experience something a little different. Nah Nah Bah and the Pro Putting Garden offered a great mix of delicious food and fun in the sun. Whether you’re a foodie, a golf enthusiast, or just someone looking for a good time, these spots are definitely worth checking out on your next trip to Lagos.
