Expanded spaces and lively performances mark another successful edition

This year’s FATACIL, the 44th edition, drew large crowds, introduced key upgrades, and placed a renewed focus on showcasing Algarve artists, helping to shape another highly successful chapter in Lagoa’s bustling summer fair.

The fair took place from August 22 to 31 and featured a series of improvements which organisers say contributed to a smoother and more enjoyable experience.

Among the highlights was the expanded food court, offering visitors a more comfortable and diverse dining experience, along with the new Algarve Stage, where local artists had the chance to perform close to the food area.

Organisers also made efforts to improve the flow at the fairground’s entry points, even on the busiest days.

Overall attendance remained similar to the previous year, though the high point of the event was the Sunday performance by local artist Badoxa, which attracted an estimated 25,000 people to the venue in a single day.

As Lagoa mayor Luís Encarnação said, “FATACIL is more than a fair; it’s a showcase of the best that Lagoa and the Algarve have to offer. This edition proved, once again, Fatacil’s ability to improve and enhance the visitor experience.”

The next FATACIL is scheduled for August 21 to 30 next year.
