Internationally acclaimed Lagoa Jazz Fest returns to Estômbar this July

Lagoa Jazz Fest happens this July 2022

The intimistic Lagoa Jazz Festival returns once again to Estômbar for a set of jazz performances in a unique place, Sítio das Fontes, in Estômbar (part of Lagoa’s borough).

For the past 16 editions, the Lagoa Jazz Festival has had positive critics from the press and national and international artists.

The festival will feature a lounge space, street food and an art exhibition by the artist Margarida Freire “Legends on Canvas”.

 

Doors will open at 7pm and the main concerts will start at 10pm.

July 1  

VEIN Trio (CHE)
with Michael Arbenz (piano), Thomas Lähns (double bass), Florian Arbenz (drums)

Desidério Lázaro’s Fourtet (PT)
with Desidério Lázaro (saxophones), Mário Delgado (electric guitar), Cícero Lee (electric bass), Carlos Miguel (drums)

July 2

Motion Trio (POL)
with Janusz Wojtarowicz (accordion), Pawel Baranek (accordion), Marcin Galazyn (accordion)

July 3

Jose Luis Kaele Trio (SPA)
with Jose Luis Kaele (piano), Cesar Diez (double bass), Diego Martin (drums)

Antonio Lizana Quintet (SPA)
with António Lizana (saxophones and voice), Daniel Garcia Diego (acoustic piano/keyboards and back vocals), Jesús Caparrós (electric bass), Shayan Fathi (drums/percussions), Mawi de Cádiz (dance and back vocals)

The lounge area will showcase the following performances:

July 1 – “Road 31” Ana Rodrigues (voice) and Pablo Banazol (guitar and voice)

July 2 – Tércio Nanook (guitar/voice and percussion)

July 3 – Carlos Santos (piano) e Matt Lester (saxophone/clarinet)

Additional information

How to get to the Festival? Once in Estômbar (Lagoa’s borough), follow the GPS to the location of Fontes de Estômbar (Google Maps).

Tickets can be purchased at the Auditório Municipal Carlos do Carmo (Lagoa), FNAC and Worten stores, at the BOL.PT website or at the event after doors open, at 7pm (limited seats).
