Portimão-born photographer is showcasing his work at TEIAS Artísticas
– June 4, 2025

TEIAS Artísticas Association, in Lagos, is hosting a photography exhibition by renowned Portuguese photographer Pedro Noel da Luz Guerreiro.
Born in 1976 in Portimão, Guerreiro has built a distinguished career spanning over two decades, with both solo and group exhibitions that have received national and international acclaim.
The exhibition features limited-edition prints that reflect the essence of Guerreiro’s style, offering visitors a rare glimpse into his work in an intimate setting.
Guerreiro has exhibited on global stages, from Times Square in New York, where he participated in the See Me Take Over event in 2014, to the Louvre Museum in Paris for the Fifth Annual Exposure Award in 2015.
In 2022, he earned a Merit Award in the Reportage/Photojournalism category at the European Federation of Professional Photographers (FEP).
His passion for photography began early, inspired by family member Bernardino Correia, who co-owned a photography studio in Lagos during the 1970s and 1980s.
Starting out with an analogue camera, he honed his craft in black-and-white imagery, eventually leading to a decade-long career as a photojournalist and image reporter with the Cofina group (now Medialivre), a Portuguese media conglomerate that includes several newspapers (such as Correio da Manhã, Record, and Jornal de Negócios), magazines, and television channels.
The exhibition is open to the public until the end of July, in the heart of Lagos’ historic old town, at Rua António Crisógno dos Santos, 31. The gallery is open Monday to Saturday, from 10.30am. to 7pm.
