The smooth sounds of jazz are returning to Silves as the municipality launches the 9th edition of Jazz nas Adegas (Jazz in Wine Cellars), its popular blend of live music and fine wine.
Running until May 23, the much-loved series will feature 22 intimate sessions held in wineries and estates across the municipality of Silves.
Aimed at adults over 18, each concert takes place in a different winery, with guests treated to three tastings of local wines and a selection of regional tapas – all paired with the rhythms of talented jazz acts.
The programme gathers national and international artists, each adapting their repertoire to the venue’s unique atmosphere. The goal is to create a “harmony between music, wine and heritage” and to boost cultural activity outside the summer season.
Tickets cost €25 and include the concert, wine tastings, tapas, a voucher for visits to Silves Castle and the Municipal Archaeology Museum, and a complimentary bottle of wine.
