Daily sunset sessions, live music, dance, martial arts and creative workshops
Portimão’s riverfront has been transformed into an urban beach for the second edition of the Ribeirinha Beach event, recreating a seaside atmosphere in one of the city’s most emblematic public spaces.
Running until June 21 near the Clube Naval de Portimão, the initiative, organised by the POIS association, was created to enhance the riverside area and encourage visitors and locals to spend time outside and enjoy the city’s cultural heritage and local identity.
Running daily from 5pm to 10pm, the event features a varied programme of cultural and recreational activities, including live music, themed concert nights, dance and martial arts sessions, arts and crafts workshops for children, astronomy activities, and creative upcycling workshops focused on clothing and furniture.
Artists scheduled to perform include Bandua, 800 Gondomar, Naomi Falcon and Sambambas.
The programme also includes a sunset cocktail party and a series of open workshops introducing visitors to the work of the POIS association and its initiatives across the city.
