The park features several leisure and sports facilities, including a 1,500-metre cross-country track designed for regional and national competitions. The track will also be available for residents to use for daily training and sports activities.

Other features include green spaces and rest zones, picnic areas, a street workout area and outdoor fitness equipment, as well as children’s play areas.

The park will also include a lake covering around 990 square metres, along with a bar area and toilet facilities for visitors.

According to the municipality, the project has been widely anticipated by local residents as it will be the first large urban park in the municipality of Lagoa. The aim is to create a space where families can spend time together and enjoy outdoor activities.

The municipality is also planning two additional urban parks in the future, one in Mexilhoeira da Carregação and another in the city of Lagoa.
