Bringing arts and crafts to the public, the monthly event invites visitors to discover local talent by the river

Ferragudo is once again bringing colour and creativity to its riverside with the return of Art’gudo – Arte em Ferragudo, a monthly arts and crafts market set along the Arade River.

The first edition of the year took place in March and welcomed more than two dozen artisans, alongside several painters working live on site. Visitors had the chance to watch artworks take shape throughout the day, adding a more interactive feel to the event.

From now on, Art’gudo will take place on the last Sunday of each month, turning the area near the bridge and the garden in the main square into a lively meeting point for locals, visitors and creatives.

Stalls will feature a mix of handmade pieces, including jewellery, ceramics, paintings, textiles and contemporary works, all presented in a relaxed, open-air setting by the river.

Until May, the market runs from 10am to 5pm, and from June to September, it moves into the evening, taking place from 5pm to 11pm.

The initiative is organised by Associação Caminhos do Meio, in partnership with the local parish council, with the aim of supporting local talent and giving people another reason to explore Ferragudo.
